When 12:15pm - 1:15pm
Where George Gund Building, Aitken Auditorium
Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists.
Plan to attend this week's Lunch On Fridays presentation, featuring Tony Ingrisano, a visiting artist in the painting and foundation departments for the 2014-15 school year. Ingrisano's work analyzes naturally occurring and man-made systems, strips them of their intended function and re-utilizes them. Pragmatic arrangements become useless and non-sensical, and ultimately new patterns emerge. Using a variety of materials, Ingrisano re-imagines and gives new purpose to these structures by upending their function-over-form relationship.
This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided.
