Lunch On Fridays: On Art Writing

Add event to my calendar

Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists.

A vital economy requires a dynamic creative community, which in turn needs an engaged discourse to support it. The Lunch on Fridays lecture series will host a panel discussion on the value of Art Writing to a Creative Community and the community at large. Speakers include:

  • Steve Litt – Art & Architecture Critic, Plain Dealer
  • Catherine Walworth – Curatorial Research Assistant, Carnegie Museum of Art
  • Scott Turri – Instructor, University of Pittsburgh
  • Michael Gill – Editor, CAN Journal
  • Dan Tranberg – Visiting Instructor - Cleveland Institute of Art
  • Josh Usmani – Blogger – CoolCleveland.com

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided. Click here to read more about the Lunch on Fridays series.

Cleveland Institute of Art is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
