About the instructor:

Nicole Bozickovich, Photography major ’14, has focused on her interests—photography and childhood education. She has taught art to children in the Freedom Schools program at the East Cleveland Neighborhood Center, as well as photographed concerts for Live Nation, which published some of her work on its website. Her BFA Thesis show at CIA has focused on photographing objects used to abuse children and bringing awareness to child abuse. She currently is the art instructor at STEAM Academy of Akron teaching art to grades K-5. Young Artists Printmaking

Course No. YAPM 100 00
Sessions 8
Grades 9-12
Location Cleveland Institute of Art
Dates September 23 - November 18 (Saturdays) – 1-4pm
Location: Cleveland Institute of Art

Explore printmaking with linocut, monotype, and alternative lithography, as well as working with found objects, and organic stamping as well. Students will develop their images through drawing and tracing, after which they will learn various methods for transferring their images onto the medium: creating prints. The images developed will be individual works of art but we will also be used to produce greeting cards, calendars, and personal monograms. These processes are very expressive and inspire other experimental methods of printing, so come ready to explore new methods!
