A CIA graduate in 1986 (Surface Design/Photography), I worked as a Colorist/Assistant Designer at Imperial Wallcoverings, then started my own design business (wallpaper/fabric) “Handwerk” (1989-2001). In 2002, I earned a MA in Ed. from Ursuline College.

I am married with two children. Since 2002, I have been teaching Art for Aurora City Schools, and am the Art Department Chair. I have taught graduate arts seminars for Lake Erie College (from 2005-12). I hold Lead Professional and Master Teacher designations, completing 18 post-graduate hours in Curriculum and Supervision from Kent State University.
