Community . Corrie Slawson
Corrie Slawson’s work has been exhibited in the US and internationally with projects at the Toledo Museum of Art, Peoria Art Guild (Illinois), The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, SPACES and the Driving Park Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. She earned a BFA from Parsons School of Design (New York) and MFA at Kent State University. In 2011, Corrie was awarded an Individual Artist Excellence grant from the Ohio Arts Council and in that same year, received a Fellowship to work in Dresden, Germany. Her work was recently included in a retrospective at Centro Cultural de Tijuana through the TJ in CHINA Project Space (Tijuana, Mexico) in 2013. Slawson’s work was included in The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program from 2012-14. She is adjunct faculty and the Cleveland Institute of Art and Kent State University School of Art.
