Latin American literary giants Gabriel García Márquez and Carlos Fuentes co-wrote the first feature directed by Mexico’s master filmmaker Arturo Ripstein. Selected as a 2016 “Cannes classic” and only now being released in the U.S., this “chili Western” tells of an ex-con who served 18 years in prison for murder and now wants to lead a quiet life.
