Bob Fosse made his debut as a film director with this Cy Coleman/Dorothy Fields/Neil Simon musical that he originally directed and choreographed on Broadway. Inspired by Federico Fellini’s Oscar-winning 1957 film Nights of Cabiria, the movie stars Shirley MacLaine as a taxi dancer at a seedy NYC club who yearns for true love after a series of failed romances. With Ricardo Montalban, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Chita Rivera. Co-presented by The Musical Theater Project, the movie will be introduced at 3:00 by TMTP Artistic Director Bill Rudman and by Cinematheque Director John Ewing. They will also lead a post-film discussion. DCP. 149 min.
