Cinematheque . Film Schedule . DYING TO KNOW: RAM DASS & TIMOTHY LEARY
Filmmaker in Person!
United States | 2014 | Gay Dillingham
Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert became friends during the 1960s when they were both psychology professors at Harvard. They went on to shape a generation—Leary as the “turn on, tune in, drop out” advocate of LSD and other psychedelic drugs, Alpert as the Eastern-influenced spiritual leader Ram Dass. Robert Redford narrates this new film that takes an intimate look at the life and work of these two pioneers and radical thinkers who faced life head on, and inspired and changed others in the process. Filmmaker Gay Dillingham will answer audience questions after each show. Cleveland premiere. DCP. 95 min.
Special admission $10; members, CIA & CSU I.D. holders, age 25 & under $8; no passes, twofers, or radio winners.
