A yakuza hit man and his peace-loving younger brother, an artist, flee to the Japanese countryside after a betrayal and a murder. They take construction jobs, but the art student becomes dangerously obsessed with doing nude studies of their boss’s wife. This 1920s-set thriller boasts an over-the-top finale that sees the screen go entirely red at one point.
