A Special Sold-Out Event!
Lumière: the Gala Grand Opening of the Peter B. Lewis Theater
United Kingdom | 2015 | Stevan Riley
Tonight we open our brand new Peter B. Lewis Theater at 11610 Euclid Avenue with the Midwest premiere of what is certain to be one of the most acclaimed, talked about, and written about films of 2015! Listen to Me Marlon is a portrait of Marlon Brando unlike any other. Derived entirely from 200 hours of self-reflective private audio tapes that the actor made during his lifetime (at home, in business meetings, under hypnosis, in therapy, etc.), the film offers an unprecedented and intimate look at one of the screen’s most talented and enigmatic personalities. The filmmakers had the full cooperation of the Brando estate, so they augment the actor’s voice with a wealth of film and TV clips, rare photos and home movies, and newsreel footage. “A masterpiece.” –The Village Voice
DCP. 95 min. This film is the centerpiece of a special sold-out event that also includes food, fellowship, drinks, desserts, and complimentary valet parking. Special thanks to Abramorama (Richard Abramowitz) and Showtime.
