Cinematheque to Present Two Parallel Comedy Film Series
Cinematheque . Film Schedule . The Incident
Director Larry Peerce in Person!
United States | 1967 | Larry Peerce
Larry Peerce’s other major film of the 1960s (see previous blurb) is also the movie he is proudest of. The Incident is a harrowing tale of two young punks who terrorize the passengers of a NYC subway car. The great cast features Tony Musante, Martin Sheen (making his screen debut), Beau Bridges, Brock Peters, Jack Gilford, Thelma Ritter, Ruby Dee, and Ed McMahon. Many of the scenes were shot secretly in the NYC subway system after the New York Transit Authority denied permission to film there. Larry Peerce will answer audience questions after the screening.
No passes, twofers, or radio winners; second film discount price $7. Special thanks to Caitlin Robertson.
