Cinematheque . FAQs
How much are Cinematheque tickets?
General admission tickets are $9.00 and tickets for Cinematheque Members are $7.00. Tickets for an additional film on the same day, and for anyone age 25 and under (with proof of age), are $7.00.
When is the Cinematheque moving to the new George Gund building?
The Cinematheque is scheduled to move to its new location (11610 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH) late summer 2015. As the date approaches, announcements will be posted on the CIA website.
Will the Cinematheque continue to show 35mm films in its new location?
Yes, the Cinematheque will continue to show 35mm films, and it will also be equipped with a digital cinema projector.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets for most movies can be purchased only with cash or check at the Cinematheque box office on the day of the screening. Advance tickets are sold only for those rare special events that might sell out.
Is parking available?
Free parking for filmgoers is available at CIA's George Gund Building, located on 11141 East Boulevard. Handicapped parking is also available. Enter the lot from East Boulevard.
Is the Cinematheque wheelchair accessible?
Yes, handicapped parking is located adjacent to the entrance of the theater, which is near the loading dock at the back of the building. There is also ramp access to the building and theater.
Are concessions available?
Inexpensive refreshments and snacks are available for purchase in the vending machines in the building’s student lounge. Food and drinks may be brought into the theater, but we encourage patrons to consume food and drink as quietly as possib... more
