Looney Tunes series opens Saturday with program featuring (mostly) Bugs Bunny
On Saturday we open a five-program, 60-cartoon series of classic Warner Bros cartoons entitled "Still Looney After All These Years." LOONEY TUNES, PROGRAM 1: BUGS, which we show Saturday at 5:00 pm, consists of 12 cartoons made between 1949 and 1960, most featuring Bugs Bunny (but with at least one starring the Tasmanian Devil, pictured above). Program includes Chuck Jones’ Rabbit Hood (1949), Rabbit of Seville (1950), Operation: Rabbit (1952), Duck! Rabbit, Duck! (1953), Bully for Bugs (1953), and Ready, Woolen and Able (1960); Robert McKimson’s Hippety Hopper (1949), Daffy Duck Hunt (1949), Devil May Hare (1954), and Bedevilled Rabbit (1957); Robert Clampett & Friz Freleng’s Dough for the Do-Do (1949); and Freleng’s Roman Legion-Hare (1957). See all five programs and bring kids! Anybody age 25 or under pays only $7.

NYMPHOMANIAC: VOLUME I is the first half of Lars von Trier's latest provocation
Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, Shia LeBoeuf, Christian Slater, and Uma Thurman star in the first half of Lars von Trier’s latest provocation Nymphomaniac—a self-proclaimed “porno” epic in two parts. In NYMPHOMANIAC: VOL.I (showing Thursday at 5:30 pm & Saturday at 6:45 pm), a bookish man rescues a bloodied woman he finds on the street one day. She proceeds to regale him with eyebrow-raising tales of her sexually active life. This sensuous Scheherazade continues her smutty stories in Nymphomaniac: Vol. II (see next blurb). No one under 18 will be admitted to this English-language movie. Those who buy tickets to both parts of Nymphomaniac at the same time will pay only $5 for Vol. II. The second ticket can be used on either Saturday or Monday. Watch a teaser trailer here.

NYMPHOMANIAC: VOLUME II concludes Lars von Treir's sexually explicit saga
In NYMPHOMANIAC: VOLUME II, the second half of Lars von Trier’s sexually explicit saga (see previous blurb), the self-described “nymphomaniac” (Charlotte Gainsbourg) continues to recount her sordid, sensationalist life story to a total stranger (Stellan Skarsgård). Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe join the all-star supporting cast in this installment. No one under 18 admitted to this English-language movie that shows Saturday at 9:00 pm and Monday at 7:30 pm. Here's a teaser trailer.

Nick Frost stars in CUBAN FURY, new Brit romantic comedy about salsa dancing
Nick Frost, Rashida Jones, Chris O’Dowd, and Ian McShane star in James Griffiths' CUBAN FURY, a delightful new romantic comedy about an overweight shlub and office drone (Frost) who was once a champion salsa dancer. In order to impress his attractive new boss (Jones), he tries to regain his old form. Total Film calls Cuban Fury "a great big bear-hug of a Britcom, with rhinestones on its shirt, salsa in its heart and dick jokes up its sleeve.” Catch its exclusive Cleveland premiere on Thursday or Monday. Print this email and present it at the box office and pay only $7 ($6 if you're a Cinematheque member). It's our Deal of the Week! (Limit two discount admissions per print out) Watch the movie's trailer here.
