The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque is one of the country’s best repertory movie theaters, according to The New York Times. Founded in 1986, the alternative film theater shows classic, foreign, and independent films 50 weekends of the year. The Cinematheque offers discounted tickets to all CIA students and contributes to the richness of the college’s public programming in the arts.
General Admission: $9 ($10 as of 6/30/16)
Member: $7 (includes CIA & CSU I.D. holders)
Age 25 & under: $7 (proof of age required)
Additional film on the same day: $7 or the member price for that film
The Cinematheque now accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as cash and checks. Tickets sold at the door and in advance at Fandango.com; sellouts are usually not a problem. Special events cost more; consult blurbs for individual films.
You can support independent cinema while saving at least $2 off regular admission prices for one full year when you become a member.
