Water Dispersion Effect Tutorial

02/28/17  |  Posted by LeAnn Troutner  |  Posted in Digital Creativity

The tutorial I used can be found here.

Begin by choosing a subject, having a white background is suggested. Separate the background from the subject. Choose a water effect. Separate the water from the background.

Bring the water into the subject file. Make sure the canvas is the right size on the subject file to make the final image.

Transform the water as desired and place on the subject. Warp the water as desired to the subject. Erase the part of the water that would not be seen once the two pieces are combined. Erase a little of the butterfly to create a nice blend. Adjust hue and saturation on the water to match the color of the subject. Fine tune and save the final result.
