Organizing Bookmarks with Delicious

Delicious is an application for the iPad recommended by CIA professor Marc Tomko that can help organize helpful resources given during class. This app lets you save Internet bookmarks, browse through trending bookmarks, discover new content from friends who also have the app, and edit and share links whenever!
The app can be downloaded for free in the iTunes Store. Type in “Delicious,” set the category to “Productivity” and it should be the first one to come up!
After downloading it will ask you to either log in or make an account. In order to make an account, just enter your email and password and verify via email. Now you are able to edit your profile, save links, and explore.
On the home screen is an icon with three horizontal lines that opens up a side menu of four other pages to go to: Discover, Network, Add a Link, and Settings.
For this review and mini tutorial let's save some links to your profile! Go surf the world wide web and find a website, video, or anything that has a URL. Copy the URL and paste it in the window that says “Add a New Link” in the Delicious app.
Once “Add” is selected a new window opens giving the option to add a title, add and personalize tags, make a comment, and share it on Twitter or Facebook.
In the Settings window you can link Facebook, Twitter, or Google accounts to your Delicious account. You can also edit your account settings, profile and read the Privacy Policy/ Term of Service.
I give Delicious 4 out of 5 stars. There are a few smaller things that could be improved, like when you go to the internet there's no option to open the URL in Delicious so you have to copy and paste it. Having organized bookmarks is helpful for artists to save tutorials and other artist's work for inspiration. I love being able to see what my friends are bookmarking that are in the same class as me. I can open my bookmarks anywhere my iPad goes with me to show my professors my thought process and motivation!
