Where to Find Quality Audio for Upcoming Projects

Music and sounds are elements that can make or break a lot of video and animation projects. Finding the right audio to go with a piece can sometimes be a very long and stressful process. We don't always have a composer at our disposal to help us write music, so I will share some helpful websites where you can find music for your pieces.
One website that I highly recommend is freemusicarchive.org. This website has a wide variety of genres and songs at your disposal. They also operate under the Creative Commons license meaning that as long as you credit the source you will be able to use it in your project. Another website of the same type is freesound.org. This source is a little different because it offers access to samples and various other sounds that can be used as ambient tracks or sound effects. Freesound.org also operates under the Creative Commons license.
Now you have all the music and sounds you need, ready to edit! The school computers come loaded with Audacity and Adobe Audition, which are two great programs for audio editing and splicing. With all of these tools at your disposal you can edit and remix some pretty cool sounds and songs for you videos, animations, and sound projects.
