Moving Pictures from iPad to Mac Without Syncing

<strong>STEP 1</strong><br />Click on the Settings app and navigate to the tab labeled "iCloud" on the left hand side. Select "Photostream."
<strong>STEP 2</strong><br />Make sure My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams are both set to "ON."
<strong>STEP 3</strong><br />Go into your albums and select the one you would like to share.
<strong>STEP 4</strong><br />Tap the "EDIT" button on the top, that gives you the option to select multiple photos by tapping on each individual photo. Tap on all photos if you would like to share the entire album.
<strong>STEP 5</strong><br />Tap on "Share" and tap on "Photo stream."
<strong>STEP 6</strong><br />Enter in the email addresses you want to share your photos with, title the Photo Stream, and if you want your photos on a public website, switch it to "ON."
<strong>STEP 7</strong><br />Add comments to your Photo Stream (optional) and tap "Post." An email will be sent with a link to the public website and everyone you shared the Photo Stream with can view your photos within the Photo app! You can always edit your Photo Stream within the Photo app and add or delete people who are able to view it or add and delete images.
On a Mac, open up iPhoto and view your pictures there also by selecting "Photo Stream" on the left sidebar!
The public website display of the images is beautiful and simple. It also gives the option to view as a slideshow and has a download button for images.

If you have pictures that you would like to move from your iPad to one of the school computers do not plug the iPad into the Mac and sync! Your device wants one home computer and that’s it. When plugged into a new computer, it will want to sync with all of the data on that machine and you risk losing important information, photos, music, etc. iTunes will display a panic inducing notification that everything will be erased from your iPad. Here’s how you can avoid high stress levels AND share your artwork!
