Ice-breaker

01/27/12  |  Posted by Tami Liss  |  Posted in Student Blogger

I'm Tami, Friday morning desk runner at SLH, T.I.M.E. Digital Arts senior and all-around something. You'll be getting a new influx of weekly blogging sensation from us students over in Student Life. So brace yourselves, and check back for news, events, and marginally relevant things. I saw a great caption the other day. Drew Carey at his Who's Line? desk: "Welcome to Ohio, where the weather's made up and the seasons don't matter!" Cleveland's trying to compensate for the perpetual gray overhang by making each day as excitingly capricious as possible. Equally frustrating are the drivers, who, however, do gain a resulting dexterity for migrating construction, potholes, and power sliding. Pedestrians navigate with somewhat more success. My favorite thing about this point in winter is that after a long day of CIA, schoolwork and paid-work, it's conveniently easy to ball up like a Roly Poly and fall asleep in a winter coat cocoon. So that tomorrow we can roll out the house, down Little Italy, pause at the coffee machine (for hot chocolate), and reemerge in class. I love a place where the weather makes for good default topic.
