CIA TA's Comic Available on iPad

01/12/12  |  Posted by Niki Smith  |  Posted in Digital Creativity

Many of you may know me as the TA for Foundations Digital-- but I'm an alum of CIA too, and my personal work involves drawing comics! Want to take a look? All you need is the Comics app. The app is free, so just tap "Install" and you're good to go! To find my comic, you can do 1 of 2 things: if you're reading this on your iPad, you can simply click here to be taken directly to the listing in the app. Or, if you're reading this elsewhere, then just open your iPad up to the Comics app. At the bottom, there are a number of options, including "search". Just type in "maps", and IN MAPS & LEGENDS, my series, should pop up! The series started off at the end of 2010, when it won a competition run by DC Comics' web imprint, Zuda. We were serialized by them for a few months, until the imprint was closed, and then decided to continue the story on our own. Over the last year and a half, we released the complete series: 9 issues, over 180 pages! Each issue is only $.99 if you want to try it out, or you can get the full book at $5.99 and get it even cheaper.
