[...] Oscar-winning SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE returns to the big screen Winner of the Oscar for Best Picture of 1998, John Madden’s delightful romantic comedy SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE speculates that a love affair between young William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) and an aspiring actress (Gwyneth Paltrow, Oscar winner for Best Actress) may have inspired the writing of Romeo and Juliet. Geoffrey Rush, Judi Dench (Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress), Colin Firth, and Ben Affleck co-star in this movie co-written by the great Tom Stoppard. This is the third, and final, Shakespeare film this weekend co-sponsored by CWRU's Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities. John Orlock, Samuel B. and Virginia C.
