Slate Grove
Slate Grove earned a BFA in Glass in 2006 from The Cleveland Institute of Art. While a student at the Institute, he received the Viktor Schreckengost Excellence in Glass Award, Penland Partnership Scholarship, and The Malcolm McBride Scholarship for Glass. Slate’s work has recently shown at Prism Contemporary Gallery in Chicago, IL, and at Roq La Rue in Seattle, WA. He has been a visiting artist at Snow Farm New England Craft Program at Williamsburg, MA, and has worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, ME, and The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. He recently accepted a position at Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC, as a Glass Studio Coordinator.
