Mary Oros
Mary Oros is a 1977 graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Art, and holds a BFA in Sculpture. In her work she explores things such as the way texture, proportions, surface, and color alter appearance. The pieces are contrived in her mind, and then transfered into drawings and wax models, before constructing the sculptural shapes using fiberglass, reinforced concrete, or industrial plaster.
She was an Agnes Gund Award winner, and has had solo and group exhibits. Product Design is one industry Mary has had experience in, and she currently has a studio in Oakland, California.
