Libby Black
Libby Black graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in Painting in 1999. She received her MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 2001, where she was an All College Honors recipient and Richard K. Price Scholar Award recipient. Libby has had recent solo shows at Heather Marx Gallery in San Francisco, CA, and Broad Street Gallery in Athens, GA, and her work has been included in group exhibitions at Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, AfterModern in San Francisco, SPACES in Cleveland, and Kathleen Cullen Fine Arts in New York City. She was a 2007 Artist in Residence at SPACES, a 2005 Artist in Residence at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, CA, and received a Cultural Equity Grant from The San Francisco Arts Commission in 2003. Libby currently resides in Fort Worth, TX.
