Jim Mazurkewicz

Jim Mazurkewicz was born in Cleveland, Ohio and received his undergraduate degree in Gold and Silversmithing at The Cleveland Institute of Art where his teachers were John Paul Miller, the Goldsmith; Frederick Miller, the Silversmith; and Kenneth Bates, the Enamellist. After attending Syracuse University for his Masters Degree in Metalry, he returned to The Cleveland Institute of Art where for 20 years he taught classes in Gold and Silversmithing, and headed the Metalsmithing department. Jim eventually left teaching and has been the master jeweler/goldsmith for the last 15 years for Potter and Mellen, Inc., a long established and fine retail jewelry store in Cleveland. As a designer-goldsmith, he creates pieces for the store's jewelry collections as well as private commissions.
