Herb Friedson
Herb Friedson is a 1958 graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Art. r. Friedson has been a professional enamelist since 1954. A former student of Kenneth Bates and John Paul Miller, he received a BFA from the Institute in 1958. For four and a half years after graduation, he was a design consultant to the New York textile industry. After receiving an MFA from the University of Kansas in 1967, he joined the faculty teaching basic design, jewelry-silversmithing and enameling.
His work has been shown in over 110 regional, national, and international exhibitions, including those at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, New York; Cleveland Museum of Art (7 times), Butler Institute of American Art (13 times), Long Beach Museum of Art, Aaron Faber Gallery, and Biennale International in Limoge, France..
