Film lovers, the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus will feature two CIA filmmakers in its Ohio Shorts program this Saturday, Apr. 26, at 7pm. Kyle Todaro's "For Her" and Bruce Checefsky's "Witch's Cradle" will be two of 15 films shown. Todaro, a 2012 grad, is the Technical Specialist in CIA's Painting Department. Checefsky is director of CIA's Reinberger Galleries and an adjunct faculty member. Details: http://ow.ly/w4W6u

2D3D contest winners

After reviewing the work of over 1,075 entries, the CIA faculty jurors made their final selections on February 21.

The slide shows below represent the work of the 'Best in Category Winners,' of which the 'Best in Show' was selected. Congratulations to the winners of CIA¹s premiere 2D3D competition!

Best in Show winner

The Best in Show winner will receive a $2,500 cash prize and a Faber-Castell Color Pencil Polychromos wood case of 72, valued at $531.25.

Best in Category winners

The Best in Category winners will receive a $500 cash prize, a $10,000 annual scholarship ($40,000 total) to the Cleveland Institute of Art, and a prize from our sponsor, Faber-Castell.

  • Integrated Media: "Psychosis" by Michael Baer, Junior; Downers Grove South High School; Hometown: Woodridge, IL

The Juror's Special Merit winners will receive a $200 cash prize.
