Designer, writer, amateur historian and nascent bread baker, Mari has been involved with information design and publication design (in all it's myriad forms) throughout her practice. Clients have included Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, The Case Connection Zone, Artist Carl Pope, and Internationals Public Schools. She received a 2013 Ohio Arts Council Grant for Individual Excellence with one of her principle collaborators, Mary Jo Toles (Professor of Photography at CIA). She has also taught at Parsons School of Design, University of California (Los Angeles), and U Cal (Santa Barbara).
Current projects include a writing project about information and design, an interactive visualization of the effect of life style changes on Type 2 Diabetes and a fierce wild yeast starter for her crusty sourdough loaves. She is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Chad Robertson's latest book, which promises to be about whole grain wild yeast breads.
