Digital Photo Imaging I

This course is an introduction to the technical and aesthetic fundamentals of digital photographic imaging. This studio course is designed for students interested in working with digital imagery for various applications. Students use the computer to modify, manipulate, and enhance photographic images. Emphasis is placed on consideration of the hardware and software tools required for successfully capturing, manipulating, and exporting images, as well as on an understanding of the technical issues involved in each step of the production process. Digital Photo Imaging I is required for Photography, Graphic Design, and Illustration. It is available as an open elective in all majors for fine art studio credit. 3 credits.
