    Take your creative mind to a new level as you work at the intersection of social media, culture, technology, and the studio arts. As a major in our T.I.M.E. – Digital Arts program, you will develop innovative, interactive media projects using video, web, photography, performance, and animation technologies.

    Be at the Forefront of Interactivity

    As a T.I.M.E. student, you might develop custom media tools, work with computer scripts, produce interactive sound and video pieces, expand gaming environments, or create circuit bending sound instruments. You will master interactive forms of media including live media, performance, and linear media as well as conceive, plan and program your own software-based artwork.

    Develop Creative Skills for Your Career

    With our 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio, you will receive individual attention and mentorship that will help you develop real-world experience. Our faculty, who are well-known professionals within the field, will provide you with an important foundation in research, critical thinking and public speaking. In a collaborative environment, you will develop the tools for creative problem solving and conceptual thinking. You also will explore strategies of integrating social activism with media art by examining the impact your work will have in social, ethical, and cultural contexts.

    Facilities with Leading-Edge Technology

    As a T.I.M.E. – Digital Arts major at The Cleveland Institute of Art, you will work in state-of-the-art computer labs and traditional studio art spaces. You will have access to the newest equipment for digital video, lighting, and sound as well as a motion capture system, a green-screen Chroma Key studio, two lighting and shooting areas, and a sound recording studio.

    Careers in the Digital Arts

    Many T.I.M.E. students go on to graduate school or successful careers in the digital arts thanks to the real-world experience they gain from showing their work in the E.M.I.T. Student Film, Video, and Animation Festival, the juried Student Independent Exhibition, and annual Spring Show.

    With a BFA degree in T.I.M.E., potential career options include:
